Autumn eases students into new schedule September was filled with exciting activities. The Varsity cheerleaders and newly chosen Super Scot, Willie Old- ham, boosted school spirit high as the fighting Scots entered their new dis- trict. Students were dismayed to find that, because of the behind schedule construction, the parking places near the school could not be used, worsen- ing the parking situation. Students had a chance to socialize at the annual Howdy Dancel' spon- sored by the Student Council, and the friendliest from each grade were announced. The newly revised bell and club schedule did a good job of keeping H.P. students and faculty confused. The club organizations were finally underway in mid-September with the division of service and interests clubs. For students planning their college future, College Night was the perfect opportunity to get a first-hand look at various universities in Texas and around the country. Even though stu- dents looked ahead to college, parents concentrated on the present. Back-to- School night gave parents a chance to meet the teachers and hear about the upcoming school activities. T.
