One of the greatest honors to receive as a senior at Highland is to be elected Lad or Lass. The nominations, based on leadership, scholarship, and service, are narrowed down to Eve by the faculty and then voted on by the student body. Jimmy Glinn and Nikki Parra, the l.ad and Lass of l983, have displayed outstanding participation and service throughout their years at Highland. Jimmy, President of the H20 club, has been swimming on the Varsity team for the past four years. Each year he has been selected MVP. He also received Hrst place in the I 00 back stroke at the Valley meet. He is an ofHcer of Interact, and belongs to CSF with a GPA of 3.9. Nikki is a cheerleader and serves as ASB President. She is an actively involved member of CSF, Interact, Math Club, Foreign Language Club, Pep Club, and the Forensics Club. She is the Ford Dimension Campus Representitive and manages a GPA of 3.9.
