NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The National Honor Society of Highland, sponsored by lVlr. D. Towers, is composed of juniors who have attained a 3.5 average and seniors who have attained a 3.0 average throughout their high school years. National Honor Society members must also demon- strate qualities of leadership, character and service as well as scholarship. The society's main project is tutoring stu- dents who are having difficulties with their studies. The Highland Interact Club is a junior division of its sponsoring organiza- tion, the Blackwood Rotary Club. Just as Rotary devotes itself to providing community services, so does Interact devote itself to providing school and community services, such as selling programs at football and basketball games and sending voices from home tapes to soldiers. Interact members are nominated by the faculty and then selected on the basis of scholarship, character, and participation in school affairs.
