Back row: Greg Remmenga, Linda Eichheim, Jackie Lucero, Brad Lebsack, Mark Zack, Mrs. Zack, Sponsor. Middle school was organized and in operation for the school year 1971-72. Principal Zack feels that this age group is very active and most energetic and needs new opportunities for learn- ing and expression. Classes have been reorganized and more subjects are being offered for growth and devel- opment of the individual pupil. With grades five through eight being on one campus, the facilities provide more time and better organization for special classes such as music and art. In these classes the teachers are not being transferred to the various schools when pre- paring the fifth and sixth graders for the group formerly called junior high. h A new facility has been added which as the art department in the east section, the music department in the middle, and the multi-purpose room at the west end. The classrooms are equipped especially for art with locked store rooms, and a sinkg the music room with an office and small-group practice rooms. The covered walk,-overs indicate the special entrances between the old junior high building and the new building located to the south. H X
