DEDICATION A college teacher, to be successful today, must know his field more thoroughly than ever before. But n ore than that, he must also be able to instill in his students a sense of responsibility and challenge. He must inspire them to work toward goals which may at first seem impossible to attain, but are necessary if the students are to be proficient in (lie field. At High Point College we have such a professor as this, who devotes himself with all his talents to his stu- dents. His classes may be the most difficult a student has ever encountered, but in the end each one is ap- preciative of the intensive instruction received. For the inspiration which he has been to all stu- dents, for the higher goals he continually seeks and for his exceptional ability to motivate his students to a high plane of learning, the Senior Cass dedicates this 1963 edition of the Zenith to DR. DAN COOKE.
