The 1958-S9 edition of the Eagle varsity bas- ketball team finished the season with a percentage over five hundred and was fifth out of eleven teams in the Bi-County League. The 195 9 Eagle track team competed in the Northwood Invitational, the Bi-County meet, the Pri-nce George's meet, and the state meet. This season was a build-up year for the squad. Baseball, also, found the Eagle squad in a build-up situation. Because the Eagles Discus :hrower Bob Young. did not have a junior varsity in the 1959 season, coach jay Arnold carried a large squad. The Eagles played ten games in the enlarged Bi-County league and four games toward the county title. The golf team won a good percentage of their matches.
