At the first of the year we had a class party in the gym, and later as our sophomore year came to an end, we enjoyed an outdoor party. We sponsored noon movies and also had a few noon dances which gave everyone some fun. You would always find us busy before each game printing programs which helped the basketball fans to spot the players quickiy. We had lots of fun doing this and it was a good money-making project. Our two main events of the year were ordering our class rings in February and sponsoring our dance. B S S 16 G L E

JUNIOR HISTORY There were thirty-eight of us last fall when we returned to the old routine of classes and the new excitement of being Juniors. As upperclassmen, we felt that at last we had become somewhat important in our school. The first few days were devoted to adjusting ourselves to new schedules and becoming acquainted with new students and new faculty members. Our advisors were Mr. Kaduk, Mr. Agne, and Miss Henry. As Juniors our spirits ran high with the receiving of our class rings. We also enjoyed publishing the nine big issues of the Spoondrift under the direction of Miss Henry and Mrs. Culler. The first social event of the year was a well-planned class party. Our Junior play, Professor How Could You, consumed our interests and best efforts for weeks. We spent hours in rehearsal for the spectacular musi¬ cal hit, The Junior Show. The crowning achievement of the year was the Junior-Senior Banquet. We ' ll be back next year as the Seniors of H. H. S. for nine months of fun, achievement and, perhaps, a bit of study. 5

FRESHMEN HISTORY Classmates of the class of ' 56 have found their first year as full-fledged members of Hicksville High School both profitable and enjoyable. Among the outstanding events was the dance on May 1. To guide us during the year, we had as class sponsors, Miss Howenstine and Mr. Rex. We are all looking forward with keen anticipation to the remaining three years in Hicksville High School. 17
