The big kids looked down upon us tolerantly, and just between you ond me, I think we reminded them ot when they were seventh graders and just os green as we, but of course you couldn't get them to admit it on a bet. Under the capable guidance of our sponsors, Mrs. Walker and Mr. Rodocker, and our teachers, Miss Henry, Mrs, Bun- gord, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Sapp, Mr. Tongring, and Mr. Walk- er, we soon learned the trick of appearing at the right class at the right time. We were very happy to welcome to our class two new members, Melvin Brock and John Zorins, a Latvian immi- l4 grant. We hope they will remain with us through our next five years at H. H. S. We soon got our class meetings under way and elected as our officers the following: President, William Bricker, Vice-President, Leona Katana, and Secretary-Treasurer, Rose Onstott. As seventh graders we don't have so many class acti- vities as the upper grades, so we all got a thrill when we had our first real class party in the gym on January l2, l95l. We are looking forward to another year ot even bigger and better activities when we will be eighth graders and will be able to look down upon those little seventh graders with that all knowing eye of experience. QQAM Qyracle ajshdorg In the fall of l949, our class of i955 entered the new building as very green seventh graders. We soon tamed down, however, and got down to business. At our first class meeting we elected as our officers the following: President, John Bakle, Vice-President, Phyllis Applegate, and Secre- tary-Treasurer, Eddie Perry. Our class advisors, Mrs. Davis, and Mr. Rodocker, helped us with our two class parties, one in the gym and one at Roadside Park. We were very fortu- nate in having chosen from our class the Jr. High cheer- leaders who were Phyllis Applegate, Nancy Dull, Pauline Ka- tana, and Henrietta Linder. When we came back to school this fall, we undertook the job of acting as guides for those little seventh graders. We surely had a lot of fun showing them how experienced we were! To lead our class functions this year we chose as President, Duan Roth, as Vice-President, Richard Amaden, and as Secretary-Treasurer, Pauline Katona. We had two wonderful class parties with the help of our advisors, Mrs. Bungard and Mr. Murphy. I guess we really know how to make the noise because the Jr. High cheerleaders were again chosen from our class. This time it was Nancy Dull, Pauline Katona, Henrietta Linder, and Bonnie Shuherk who cheered the Little Aces on to many victories.
