FOREWORD High school times are happy times. To those who must face them each and every day, they may seem like times of trial, testing and work, but in later years they will almost always be remembered as the most joyous times in an individual's life. The function of the yearbook is to recall to mind some of these happy memories in later years. But the 1959 year- book will do more than serve as a reminder of high school days ---- it will provide a glimpse into a much earlier period. Throughout the years, many of our everyday activities have been guided by precepts set down in the age-wise sayings of such men as Aristotle, Plato, and others This yearbook will attempt to bring these to your mind once again in the hopes that they will be of some value in your later life. i
