I cannot decide
The fate of my life,
I cannot accept
The cautions of man,
I have left my dreams
On the edge of the moon
And I grope at dawn
Yet they taunt me
And haunt me
To choose and discard,
To play at the game, dignified,
I am young, I am eager
I want to try all,
And I cannot stop to decide.
The dilemma of decision has been encountered by both
students and teachers. Patches 1966 is dedicated to a woman
who has vigorously and conscientiously accepted the respon-
sibility of decisions.

TO MRS. IRMA MARMOR
The staff of Patches 1966 has Worked
secretly to dedicate this publication to
Mrs. Marmor. She epitomizes the theme
of decisions throughout her career as
a teacher of English. Her students and
her yearbook staff have often requested
her assistance in making decisions, and
she has never failed them. She is con-
stantly faced with decisions as a
teacher, as advisor to Patches, and as
coordinator of the Team Teaching
Project. She continually strives to im-
prove herself by taking in-service and
graduate courses. She has shown her
dedication to the teaching profession
by accepting and training many stu-
dent teachers. The students of Hewlett
High School recognize Mrs. Marmor as
a vibrant, enthusiastic person.
