It seems like a long time since our mothers scrubbed our ears, and sent us to our first day of school. Of all the memories of those first six years, do you remember: When we went picnicing in the Spring Music Festival? The trip to the Cloisters, which we never took because we talked too much? Mr. Banta making us write utalki' 1500 times? Our sixth grade chorus? The penmanship certificates awarded to us in sixth grade? But, it doesnit seem quite so long ago that adol- escence took over where childhood left off-that was junior high school - - - Do you remember: When all the girls began to wear lipstick? The first 7X class? Miss Geyer's nieces and nephews? The fabulous 7th and 8th grade parties lasting until 9:30 P. M.? Peggy Zeigler and Frank Tapparo campaigning vigorously for the presidency of the Junior High Student Council? Nina Matheny and Frank Tapparo winning the American Legion Awards? When our class expanded in ninth grade? How we adjusted ourselves in orientation classes? big' 3, D ...- Q I I -U. But Gretchen, no HgO:? The big rages - the Bunny Hop and section parties? It seems like only yesterday, doesn,t it? Do you remem- ber: The long wait until lunch-four whole periods? Our educational biology field trips where some learned that H302 is a bleach? Making Japanese lanterns for the Oriental Fan- tasy fSophomore Promj? Some boys missing the crowning of the Sopho- more King, Jack Baum, and Queen, Mary Dif- H ' fenderfer, because of a previous golf engage- ' ment? - Our wonderful drooping decorations at the Mar- di Gras? Charles Miller's Blusher's Society originated in Latin class in honor of Gretchen-Swartz? Congruent triangles? The commercials returning to the high school? The day we ordered class rings? When three hydrogen generators blew up in the ll-B chemistry class? Mr. Herr on April Fools' Day, 1955? Terry King, as Beef , in our junior class play? The day Mr. Shirk was taught how to tie a Windsor knot? All the daisies at the Junior Prom? Now, we've reached the present our big Senior year.
