FACULTY Ourfaculty--how much more fittingly, our friends. These are the people who have come to teach us the highest of all arts-- the art of living. Yet some of us may pass from the H. I. S. portals without ever knowing the real companionship and help that all of the faculty members are willing and able to give. Some of us, on the other hand, have had frequent contacts with it. We are those who are in activities and those who are in trouble. To know and to appreciate our teachers to the fullest extent one must know them not only when they are in the role of class-room instructor but also after class when the others have left. The teacher sheds his guise of disciplinarian and reveals his true personality as counselor and friend. Through these little intimate associations our concept of reality and the outside world is broadened and developed. Our teachers do this for us, know- ing that we have been deprived of our parents who normally would have given us such help. We salute you, our friends--our faculty.

MILTON S. HERSHEV Chairman L Founder BOARD OF MANAGERS Behind the scenes of our school life stands a group of men who do more for us than we fully realize. The Class of '41 takes pride in saluting these men who have given their un- tiring services, Ioyally and willingly. They have understood our wants, needs, desires, and ambitions. They have done their best to give us as much as they could of the good things in life. It is to them, under the ever-present and benevolent guiding spirit of lVlr. M. S. Hershey, that we are primarily indebted for the constant growth of educational opportunity and wholesome living conditions so characteristic of this great school-home. IVIere words cannot express our appreciation and thankfulness for their giving to us the high ideals by which we are endeavoring to mold our lives.
