After one year retirement A. E. Joachim has again taken up the baton to direct and teach band, making his twelfth year of band teaching at Her- reld. Fifty-seven members make up the concert band, with 28 in the Junior band. This band continued its superior rat- ing streak in 1950 which was started in 19 2. Soloist ratings were:Dlvlsion I-Bob- bie Lou Brandner, Dennis Ochsner, Shir- ley Goehring-Twirling.
