After eleven years as conductor of the band, Supt. A.E. Joachim relin- quished directorship in the fall of 1949. Charles Eroh, formerly director of band at Anchorage, Alaska, oaae to replace him. Division I ratings were also receiv- ed by Lyla Delbert, Baritone Horn; James Llppelt, Clarinet; Dennis Ochener, Tenor SeucAohone; Shirley ttoehring, Twirler. The Flute Trio composed of Jean Salz- sledler, Norma Van Dyke and Ruth Rossow received a Division I rating in the small ensemble class. Division II ratings went to Bobble Brtindner, Clarinet; Spencer Clapp, Coir- net;Mary C.
