Division I ratings were also receiv- ed by Lyla Delbert, Baritone Horn; James Llppelt, Clarinet; Dennis Ochener, Tenor SeucAohone; Shirley ttoehring, Twirler. The Flute Trio composed of Jean Salz- sledler, Norma Van Dyke and Ruth Rossow received a Division I rating in the small ensemble class. Division II ratings went to Bobble Brtindner, Clarinet; Spencer Clapp, Coir- net;Mary C. A leading music organization in high school is Girls Glee Club under the direction of Miss Eleanor Huelsmann. Girls Glee Club was organized In 1940 Two part work was begun in 1942-1943. Three part work has piroven suooessful since 1944. Membership has been increasing every year but this year elimination was necessary and our glee olub was re- stricted to 40 members. The Girls Glee Club has entered the music contest at Mobridge since 1944. A third rating was received in 1947 and in 1948 and I949 the glee olub placed second. Every year a Mixed Chorus is select- ed from the Girls and Boys Glee Clubs. It has also been entered in the con- test. In 1948 the chorus received a first rating and in 1949 it placed se- cond. Officers for this year are: Presi- dent, Lyla Delbert, Vice President, Llla Ruber, Librarian, Veronica Brand- ner. 2f
