By Troy Acree Hoover Huskie football team finished the a 6-4 record registering victories over Dunbar, High, Hurricane, Sissonville, George on, and St. Albans. obtaining a record of 2-3 after five games, the rang up four straight victories, winning four of t five contests. uskies started their four game string of victories -0 win over Hurricane on a very muddy turf. The victory over G.W. marked the second straight year Hoover's gridders have turned back the Patriots. Hoover then defeated St. Albans 31-20 in their last home game of the season. Although the victory was anticlimatic to the George Washington game the Huskies out fought the Red Dragons and iupgraded their season record to 6-3. Strangely enough what may have been the most exciting game of the season for the Huskies ended on a sour note as they lost to Nitro 3-0 on a field goal with three seconds remaining in regulation play. The game was a hard fought, defensive battle which saw both teams unable to make any sort of serious offensive threat. The loss ended the Huskie's impressive string of victories at four leaving the Hoover gridders at 6-4 for the season. i l l 49
