the conservation club The activities of the Conservation Club for the School year 1978-79 are as follows: The Club has sponsered the Haun- ter House at Clendenin Elementary School, attended the Conservation Convention at Harper's Ferry, have assisted the Woman's Club in Recy- cling Materials the first Saturday of every month, presented an outline of club activities on educational TV, sponsored a luncheon for the Clen- denin Senior Citizens at Herbert Hoover Cafeteria, went Christmas Caroling in Clendenin community, sponsored a Bird Inservice at Herbert Hoover, assisted the Biology classes in making bird houses, planted trees around the school, took a trip to a NatLu'e Reserve at Hungry Beach, sponsored a dance at Herbert Hoover, started work on improvement of the school grounds, participated in the Santa Day Parade in Clendenin at Christmas, held a Bake Sale, had 2 officers to be nominated for state of- fice.
