JUNE CLASS CDF 1937 l-IEN Tl-IE JUNF,'37 class met in September '36 as senior B's, as otficers they elected: Bernie Carroll, president: Betty Forbes, vice-president: and Mary Wing, secretary-treasurer. ln keen an- ticipation, the excited senior B's chose an attractive, ditierently-styled sweater and their rings, received awards Tower Day, and participated in a sing-song. When the class organized tor a second time in the spring term, the new officers chosen were: President, Ray Adair: vice-president, Frank Bon-, ham: and secretary-treasurer, Mary Wing. The Monday tollowing Easter vacation tickets tor the senior A pro- duction, The Bridal Chorus, were given out to the seniors. This par- ticular senior A production was an entirely unprecedented and ambitious attempt in that it was presented most successtully tor tour nights to capacity audiences, April 7, 8, 9, and IO. The prime motive tor this unusual attempt was the need tor supplying additional tunds necessary in the publication ot a more ambitious issue ot Dias Cardinales. No etiorts were spared in attempting to make their last semester at l-loover one ot the happiest and most memorable times ot their ,school career tor the senior A's. With that in mind the committees and cabinet members were selected. The tirst eltorts, those in behalf ot the senior play, succeeded admirably. On April sixteenth the A. S. B. ball took place in the school library. Later, April twenty-seventh, came Cpen l-louse. A new event was the senior A, senior B athletic competition called Field Day, held in May. May twenty-eighth the seniors ditched at Pine Valley: June tenth the ball took place at l-lotel del Coronado: June thirteenth, Vesper services: June titteenth, Tower Day: and, at last, a beautiful graduatign in the Ford Bowl on June sixteenth. The class orators were: Ruby Reid, Peggy Fay, and John Jacobsen.
