Miss DeFoor Retires This year wifh fhe refiremenf of Mrs. Agnes Duffer DeFoor, Grady is losing one of ifs mosf valuable feachers. Mrs. DeFoor, who has been feaching since she was I9, has been af Grady since I947. She has faughf social sfudies and law, and has worked wifh nearly every school acfivify, parficularly sfudenf governmenf, guidance counselling, and coaching afhlefics. Mrs. DeFoor holds degrees from Brenau, Emory, Oglefhorpe, and fhe Aflanfa Law School. Among fhe honors 'rhaf have come fo her have been lceys in bofh psychology and law. She has held offices in 'fhe Georgia Business and Professional Women's Club, fhe Georgia and fhe Nafional Associafion of Women's Lawyers. Lisfed in American Women, she has been a Nafional Dean of her Legal, as well as her social sororify. Mrs, DeFoor has had several arficles published and has collaborafed on books. She has won fournamenfs in bofh fennis and golf. The sfudenfs' feelings for Mrs. DeFoor are shown by a former senior class naming her fhe feacher fhey mosf wanf fheir younger brofhers and sisfers fo have, and her being placed on fhe gridiron courf. This year she was chosen Teacher of fhe year af Grady.
