22 More Than Assembling Assemblies at Henrico are special events, because they are the times when the stu- dents and faculty are gathered. An assembly is a place where the students see the perform- ing talents of their fellow class- mates and welcome guest speakers. During assemblies, outstanding students receive honors and special awards such as honor society and quill and scroll. Assemblies also offer the warriors an opportu- nity to order their annuals. Because of the many events held during this time, assem- blies are greatly welcomed by both students and faculty. Dramatizing Drama is an important part of Curriculum at Henrico. Throughout the school term, many productions are put on by the talented students: Sen- ior Play, the School Musical and One-Act Plays. The stu- dents are involved in one-act competition at Highland Springs, where the neighbor- ing county schools compete. In addition, drama classes are conducted to. teach students the many aspects of acting. Upper left: Carolyn Bentz pantomimes putting on her mascara.
