Gymnasts “Flip Out’ Gymnastics is a sport where the team members of two teams compete against each other individually on the horse, beam, bars and floor. This year’s gymnastics team was coached by Ms. Hall and assisted by Sharon King. The co-captains were Pam Coxford and Karen Freed. Some of the outstanding members of the team were Claudia Arledge and Michelle Sprouse, all- around gymnasts. Exceptional performers included Michelle Diaz, Karen Ward, and Theresa Herbert. 192 Outdoorsmen With a record of, 6-1, the Varsity Track team ended an outstanding season last year.The team was under the guidance of Coach Garbett. Reid Hadra, was ‘‘Most Valua- ble’’ to the team and senior Mike Perkins was chosen as “Most Dedicated.’ Davis Estes set a new school record in the 440, as did Eric Frederickson in the four mile relay. Coach Garbett named Bruce Sherrod, Matt Rich, Eric Frederickson and Bill Hudson as the out- standing runners. He also said he hopes to have an even bet- ter season this year.
