Wrestlers’ Arms Go Up! The Wrestling team completed another fine season, equaling their best dual meet record ever. They finished 10-1. The regular season was highlighted by defeating the previously unbeaten Douglas Freeman 26-18. They were also able to capture the Hopewell Christmas Tournament Champion- ship again for the seventh time in eight years. Everyone contributed to the team’s success with work and dedication. The team was led by seniors Ray Young, Lex Lutto, Vic Reynolds, Norman Lee, Mike Saunders, Wilbur Watts, and Paul Talman. Consistent performances were also turned in by juniors Todd Curry, Tim Holmes, Tim Mat- thews, and Dennis Moore, along with sophomore Scooter Harris, and freshmen Chris Brown and David Palmer. In the district com- petition Todd Curry placed first and in the regionals placed sec- ond. Tim Holmes and Tim Mat- thews placed second in district. Upper: Wrestling Team.
