Ninth Grade Basketball: Jump, Shout, Knock Yourself Out! i) ae Saka ae me a aN x € x » 2 a ig; % “Although the season was not a success as far as the won-loss record was con- cerned, | believe every single player that stayed with the team showed that he had a great deal of stamina and was willing to learn.”’ This was the opinion of the leader of the ninth grade basketball team, Coach Szalwinski. The team finished with a 3-13 record. Carl Smith was the leading scorer, averaging six points per game, and the team’s hard- est worker. The co-captains of the team were Chris Bazemore and Courtney Blain. With con- tinued work and dedication, these players will be Henrico’s winners of the future. Coach Garrett helped them to gain experience and develop their skills. With the aid of tri- captains Mike Boyle, Brian Bruce, and Dalton Chandler the team finished the season with a 4:10:1 record.
