Civies Float to Win The Henrico High School Junior Civitan Club, sponsored by the Downtown Richmond Civitan Club, started off the year on the right foot with a first place Homecoming float as they presented their theme of ‘‘Pave the Patriots.’ Junior Civitan Club sponsor Jim Vega and members have had a full year of activities which included Scott Nunally and Gil Wells’ nomination, by the Sen- ior Civitans, to attend the Free- doms Foundation Youth Lead- ership Seminar at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Other club activities have consisted of clean-up at school on Saturday mornings, helping the Senior Civitans with Bingo on Sunday nights, attending church services, and their annual Sadie Hawkins Dance at which the sweetheart for the coming year is named. Henrico has many fine service clubs and the Junior Civitan Club is proud to be one of them. Upper: Sweetheart Carolyn Rowe gives an early morning smile. With the cooperation of the principals, faculty, clubs, and classes, it feels that this year can be a big success. At the beginning of the year the S.G.A. helped the freshman class with their orientation and with their election of officers. In February it will hold its Win- ter Carnival Dance.
