The band performs in numerous activities at school and away from school. Each year they have a citrus fruit sale to make money for trips or uniforms they may need. 148 Strike Up the Band Making Wind Symphony is a real honor. Only a few select students are chosen. Each year Wind Symphony has a spring festival in addition to the winter and spring concerts they perform for Henrico. The Concert Band is made up of former band members. This band also performs winter and spring concerts for Hen- rico. Both bands practice every day to play new melodies suc- cessfully . Their conductor is Mr. Leon Auman.
