Out of the Blocks. . . Running Fast The girl’s track team came through with many victories. Coached by Dahle York and Pamela Roach, the girls met such rival teams as, Highland Springs and Patrick Henry. Running successfully, they ended with a winning season. Swinging in victory after vic- tory, the girl’s tennis team had a very exciting season. Led by Co-captains Laura Gregory and Martha Stevens, the team was successful in winning over several district rivals. Several of the girls were able to reach regional and state tournaments after their excellent perform- ances in district matches. Coach Carrig was extremely helpful to the team’s perform- ance. The boy’s tennis team this year was also victorious. Although the team suffered losses to Tucker and Freeman. Coach Blackburn and the team were very enthusiastic over the win against Thomas Jefferson.
