Takin’ It to bats a Defeating everyone in the Colonial District, the lady War- riors were devastating as they piled up an impressive record with only one loss against arch rival Douglas Freeman. Playing their second game against Free- man, the mighty Warriors avenged themselves, winning by a landslide. The starting five always set the pace for the other girls, and they in turn kept up the tempo. Together they won the games by a large margin of points. Led by coach Joan Darden and senior tri-captains Denise Kizzie, Ellen Timberlake, and Benita Turner, the team kept the points rolling in. A school record of 85 points was broken.
