All That Jazz The jazz band is a select group of talented musicians. They perform for our school during special assemblies, as well as at other schools and community organizations. 142 Strike Up the Band The marching band was under the direction of a new band director, Mr. Aumen, this year. They have even improved their usual excel- lent half time performances. They competed in many con- tests this year, and with the money they made from the citrus fruit sale, were a ble to make one of their annual trips. The dedication of the band has always been evi- dent by their willingness to practice almost every morn- ing before school. The Wind Symphony is a tal- ented group of students who have excelled in musical abil- ity. Chosen through auditions, they are a very select group. They perform for special assemblies, such as Senior Con- vocation, tappings for Honor Society, and three school con- certs. They also compete in the district festival.
