142 Strike Up the Band The marching band was under the direction of a new band director, Mr. Aumen, this year. They have even improved their usual excel- lent half time performances. They competed in many con- tests this year, and with the money they made from the citrus fruit sale, were a ble to make one of their annual trips. The dedication of the band has always been evi- dent by their willingness to practice almost every morn- ing before school.
