140 The colorguard, a very popu- lar group at Henrico, has been a focus of attention this year. It consists of twenty-one flags, eight rifles and commanders with sabres. With a unique style that catches the eye, the colorguard has brought much glamour and sophistication to the football field. Upper: Lauri Shook and Yolanda Archer are colorguard commanders. opirit Makers | ¢ ' t pee It is not easy being a Junior Varsity or Ninth Grade cheer- leader. Although the under- classmen’s sports sometimes do not receive all the recognition they should, none appreciate them more than the cheerlead- ers. Since neither receives the benefit of an athletic study hall to practice their cheers, it takes much dedication to be at all practices and games. An Added Touch Led by Co-Captains Robyn Longest and Michelle Bartlett, the Majorettes have added a special touch to school events. Their bright smiles and coordi- nated moves attract the eye of the audience and hold its inter- est. With loud and spirited voices the Pep Club has been an enor- mous aid to school spirit at Henrico.
