Shining and glimmering dec- orations, provided by the senior class,-set the appropriate mood for this year’s Homecoming Dance. The band, Spectrum, created the perfect music and atmosphere for a night of danc- ing. The announcement of Homecoming court was delayed due to several late arrivals. Eventually the court was announced, and the eve- ning continued at a very lively pace. 120 Snowbird. . . Winter Carnival 1979 The 1979 Winter Carnival Dance sponsored by the S.G.A., provided a night of dancing and fun for all. Snowbird, the theme was carried throughout in all of the decorations. The band, J.J. and Company, and the decora- tions set the mood for this year's dance. Outstanding cooperation and help from the students and organizations also contributed to the success of the Winter Carnival Dance. Members of the court had their exciting moment too as each couple was announced before the crowd. The 1979 Winter Carnival Queen, Terry Daley, and King, Fontain Lewis, were crowned with much enthusi- asm. Upper Right: Mike Perkins and Lori Whiteman are announced as members of the court.
