NE FINAL SALUTE The Drill Team’s last year at Henrico was definately an outstanding one. The number of participants was smaller, but this only im- proved their excellent routines. Under the lead- ership of Gail Amory and Karen Buchanan this year’s team proved itself to be very together. Our only re- gret is that this season ended Henrico’s long his- tory of successful drill teams. DY) f WIP D = BATON BOOGIE Led by Susie Pitts, the majorettes were again very active in many school events. They had a special flair that always added to football games, pep rallies, or other parades in which they were involved. They would consistently enter- tain the student body with seasonal music a nd new routines. To use an old cliche, “They were always in their places with bright smiling faces.” 1 Majorettes: Front row; R. Longest, D. Trevillian. Second row; M. Bartless, J. Nannally,9.S. Pitts.
