Our foreign exchange student this year is Timo Sukko. He added a lot to our campus. MIELS” Yin Aw tage Band, German Club, and Soccer were some of the activities that he was involved in this year. Supporting our school by attending games and dances, Timo quickly became a part of the student body. He was willing to share with us his spe- cial talents, and we learned they stretched far beyond his ability to be an interesting and relaxed speaker at club meetings. One of his most suprising talents is that he is able to speak six languages, which include Finnish, Swedish, French, En- glish, German and Spanish. Photographs B. Overbey

£veryday before school and after lunch two groups of students travel away from Henrico to learn an occupation at the Highland Springs Technical Center. The second year students leave in the morning before school, and the firest year students leave in the afternoon. These students consist mostly of Juniors and Seniors. There are a few Sophomores for three year courses such as cosmotology. There are also many other things the students can take. They take most everything from Nursing to Data Processing to Brick Laying. Each group spends approximately two and one half hours per day working at Tech. There are three credits given for this work accomplished. Most students at Henrico do not actually know about the Tech students, but they are working just as hard as the rest of us. Tech students work on electronics. 2 Butch Mauney practices bricklaying. 3 Why is nobody working? - If my Mom could see me now! 138 Student Life
