i r l F l l N l V President of the College Martin B. Garrison, a native of Thornton, Arkansas, received his early education in the public schools there. He continued his edu- cation at Henderson receiving his B.A. President Garrison also holds both the Ed.D. and M.A. from George Peabody College for teachers at Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to being named sixth President of Henderson, Dr. Garrison was Superinf tendent of the University City Public School System of St. Louis, Missouri. During his career he has also been both a dean and a professor of education at Peabody. President Garrison is married to the former Harriet Ann Harkness, and they have three children: Suzanne, Daniel and Milton.
