Division of Languages and Literature The Division of Language and Lit- erature helps to supply the elementary and secondary schools with compe- tent teachers of the language arts. Its general aim is to assist all students to understand, use, and enioy languages and literature. By offering courses in foreign languages, this division helps to acquaint students with a new world of thought and expression, feeling and tradition. Not only does this division train future teachers, but it also helps to train those students planning to be- come librarians, writers, actors, edi- tors, or speech therapists. Courses are offered in the areas , of textiles and clothing, foods and nutrition, family and child relation- ships, and housing and family econo- mics. A home management house and a nursery school serve as well-equip- ped laboratories for the students. 4 A Home Economics students are seen working in the Foods laboratory.
