FACULTY Two new teachers joined the Hemingford High School teaching staff for the 1987-88 school year. Newcomers included Steve Sauvain, who succeeded Barb Zum, and Marla Wade who succeeded Mary Lliteras Rutten. Mr. Sauvain taught several junior high courses, elementary physical education and coached volleyball and girls track. Mrs. Wade taught art, Spanish and speech. Three high school and one elementary teacher resigned from the Hemingford faculty at the end of the school year. Resigning high school teachers included Marty Egging (math), Judy Gasseling (library and English) and Beverly Nieveen (home economics). Fifth grade teacher Irene Christensen retired from teaching after years of service to the Hemingford Public Schools.
