Highland League Expands Services At the end of last year, president Sharon Hartmann, vice president Layla Allred, and secretary f treasurer Leslie Araiza were elected to organize the Highland League Cabinet for 1983-1984. The cabinet was divided into five committees which included: Communications, Elections, Spirit, Programs, and Resources. Individual committee members were responsible for such things as publicity for all club sponsored events, Leading Lads and Lassies elec- tions, promoting spirit throughout the school with but- tons and ribbons, and selecting sights for various events. Advised by Mr. Ron Ray and Mr. Parker Olsen, the seventeen-member Highland League sponsored activities such as the traditional Christmas Dance held at the Scot- tish Rite Temple in Mission Valley, Fashionality Night, Leading Lads and Lassies, Frosh barbeque and the Canned Food Drive. They extended their services by Sharon Haffmafm l-ayla Allred visiting various nursing homes during the holidays.
