Lines are long as students wait for buses and tickets t H I ' H ' I1 Helix is a place of many happenings. Whether pleasant or unpleasant, all have significance. Experiencing rain on a day forecast to be bright and sunny, waiting anxiously in line for dancetickets, waiting not so anxiously to be re-admitted at the attendance window, and feeling the thrill of being behind the wheel for the first time. Just as these things happen across the country, they too happen at Helix.

or in Solitude A busy day begins at Helix at 7:45 with the ringing of the first bell. Throughout the day students take lec- ture notes and participate in stimulat- ing discussions, some learning the art of debate. Courses such as driver's training and auto shop add practical learning to classroom learning. During lunch a quick review for quizzes and tests often takes place. The library is always full of those doing research for papers or just reading for enjoyment. When the last bell rings at 2:21, Helix students have learned, and have par- ticipated in a full, eventful day.
