Seniors portray returning alumni at the home- coming assembly. Spurred on by the great success of our mighty green machine, Helix spirit enjoyed its finest year yet. The spirit breakfasts, operation BAN to build the homecoming float, and work by an untiring publicity de- partment provided Helix vvith unequaled spirit. This spirit paid off as the '66 football team captured the Claymore, the lvlusket. the Grossmont League Championship and entry into CIF finals. Highlanders guzzle hot chocolate and munch donuts at the Grossmont spirit breakfast. 10 Cheerleaders whet appetites for victory at lunchtime

English and math seminars, sophomore and junior English honors, fifth year languages, and advanced classes provide above-average students with exceptional col- lege preparation. Helix also possesses excel- lent applied arts courses which prepare High- landers for their imminent careers. Serious and hardworking Highlanders enter Helix every weekday to learn and study, look- ing forward to the day when they graduate.
