Helena High Seniors did well in the National Merit Scholarship Exams. Iohn Clark, Art Clements, Kay Hansen and Duane Laible all received cer- tificates ot merit and lim Barnes and Steve Nelson received honorable mention. Kay Hansen received the Elks' Scholarship award. Duane Laible received the Elks' Leadership Award, a scholarship to Webb Institute on Long Island and the N.R.O.T.C. scholarship. Iirn Barnes and Steve Barnes received appointments to West Point and to the Air Force Academy respectively. Mike Miles and Carl Dahl also received offers from the various military academies. Peg Buckland and Roberta Crosby both received teaching scholarships, Consoliated Freightways and Delta Kappa Gamma respectively. Sharon Uhlenkott and Iohn Clark received scholarships to Carroll Col- lege. These scholarships always go to the top ranking Catholic girl and boy. Bob McCullough, Eugene Moe, and Iack Rudio all received atheltic schol- arships. The top ten students will receive tuition scholarships to the units of the Greater University ot Montana.
