SEPTEMBER 6-The faculty came a day early to plan their strategy for this first big year in our new school. THE FIRST DAY SEPTEMBER 8-With the first day behind us, we all jumped in to that maze' of lockers, windows, and never-ending corridors. We were qlad to be back in the swinq of things, especially since we were finally attending classes in the new building. REGISTRATION SEPTEMBER 7-The day was briqht, the temperature riqht and the excitement of the first day was upon us. Do you remember how con- fused We all were that day? SEPTEMBER 9-The weather was perfect for football and so was the score as our new coach, Noq Hansen's boys came across with victory number one against the Havre Blue Ponies. PAGE TWELVE

THE SNAKE DANCE SEPTEMBER l9-Democracy spoke in our shiny halls, as representatives to Student Council Were chosen from each home-room, to help govern Helena High through its first year in its new home. . ff is 't'v. 'TL ,. is . .. '...G.'l.i-A Everybody Ready? ' i Btu Hung On, 'Cuz Here We Go! BENGAL EIGHT SONG We are the Bengals of Old Helena High. Through thick and thin we're bound to Win, 'Cuz we've got the team that fights. Rah, rah We've got the spirit along with the rest. We're bold and strong as We go on Because the Bengals are the team that's best. SEPTEMBER 28-We elected our class officers and our school lite began to take definite shape. PAGE FOURTEEN 1 SEPTEMBER 22-MThe Snake Dance. As usual We were raring to go When We lined up at the Old High Gym. The most fun pep assembly was the loudest ever as Helena High, rah, rah, rang from Last TCI Chance Gulch. As always we stopped to catch our breath and sing for the chil- dren at Shodair. Come On You Brawny Bengals! h.
