Text from Pages 1 - 108 of the 1966 volume:

'Dedication to 7% . foie D. ‘ScdC Mr. Bull gets his Master's Degree His office, in to all--teachers, will their problems be given Every community aspires to have within its midst a man who not only will take an active part in the leader- ship of the local church but also will participate in upgrading any progres- community-sponsored activity-- from helping, to organize a Boy Scout troop to promoting city incorporation. Such a loyal, working man came to Hector nine years ago to take charge of the administration of its school. Since that time nothing but growth and improvement has transpired here in every way: In the school, to be very brief, buildings have been remodeled and built; facilities have been im- proved; plans for further expansion have been made; teachers have been added; and above all, utmost concern for the welfare of the children has been manifested. which a feeling of warmth and security prevails, is open parents, and especially students, who know that nowhere more consideration than here. We have grown to dearly love this man’s presence and to highly respect his advice, therefore, it is to him, Mr. Joe D. Bull, our school superintendent, that we proudly and boastfully dedicate our 1966 yearbook. Problems! !! The unpleasant part of a favorite sport. % tfifcnec6a£to t THu. ( uzrte-2 0. Tftaaxe dttd 4. 'Jftildied 'rdulieof Probably no person has given more hours or miles of service to the Hector School System than Mrs. Mildred Hurley. Hundreds of students have come under her influence during her years in our high school and elemen- tary classrooms. Her work in Home Economics has helped to make many of our homes what they are today. As she transfers her talents from the classroom to the many worthy community projects that we know will keep her busy, we can only wish her much happiness. Her congenial atti- tude and readiness to work for the welfare of others has beenappreciat- Here’s a familiar pose of one who has brought more than the three “R's” into our students’ lives. She has given them an opportunity to be- come familiar with the great art of music. One of her greatest contributions has been that of giving her students the incentive to perform at a very high degree of potential ability. Even though she is retiring from our school system, we will still re- member and appreciate all we’ve gained from Mrs. Moore s efforts, especially the excellent musical pro - grams for which she has been re- sponsible. ed.
