1 X 1 l ! V il X X Z X 7 X, X 5 but Hester Muzzall and Kenton Hoover joined us. The outstanding event of our eighth grade year was the trip to the court house in Val- paraiso. Grammar school and junior high passed and we were freshmen in high school. We had four new classmates this year. Tom Schuster from Hammond, Beverly Thomas from Kouts, Carol McNeill and Mar- garethFisher from Center School. In January, Margaret left us to go to elp i. As sophomores we were very busy, Geometry had caught some of us and world history was hard for some others. We were sorry to lose Joan Hero to Winamac. About this time in our journey, we started looking back to when we had no worries about our Junior Class Play and how the Junior- Senior Prom would turn out. The name of the play we chose was 'Make Yourself at Home. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, especially when the bird cage fell over. The second half of the year was spent working on the prom. The theme was 'Moonlignt and Roses. Margaret returned to us from Delphi and we were glad to have her back. Kathryn DeKock decided married life would make her happier, so she left us in October. And now we have come to the end of our journey. We are seniors and looking back, every memory is a treasure. When we returned this fall we found that Nadine had entered Holy Matrimony and is now re- siding in Hammond. We miss her, but we are sure that she is happy. Marianne Urtel, an exchange student from Germany, and Jack Graeber from Boone Grove entered our class. We enjoyed a three-day trip to Southern Indiana. The boys re- turned, each and everyone of them with a bright new hat. And the girls returned with something too -- a dislike of dark caves. Well, there isn't one of us who wou1dn't enjoy another trip just like it, be- cause we all had a barrel of fun. We take this opportunity to thank all our teachers for the help and guidance which they have given us in the past twelve years. And f X so to our teachers and underclassmen, we bid you all fare-well.
