MISS LA RESUME! Fifteen lovely senior ladies competed for the title of Miss La Resume and senior class beauty. The girls appeared on stage in evening wear and streetwear. The contestants in the pageant were: Angie Austin, Ginger Singleton, Jacqueline Thompson, Starla Ard, Lydia Fain, Patty McCord, Sandra McKay, Mary Coleman, Shelia Reeves, Sherry Arnett, Jennifer Adams, Alicia Enfinger, J.R. Spivey, Laurie Parrish, and Jan McCraney. Laurie appeared in her streetwear selection of black polyester crepe trimmed in coral, gold, green, and purple. Little did she know at this time that she would be chosen as the new Miss La Resume. 18 Lydia Fain was chosen as Senior class beauty. Lydia keeps in shape by skating and dancing. However, if you ask her what she enjoys doing the most she would prob- ably say talking with her many friends and boyfriends. For the streetwear competition Lydia chose a lilac polyester crepe dress, trimmed in lace. What a beautiful smile this young lady has!

LAURIE PARRISH Laurie was chosen Miss La Resume over fif- teen other young ladies in her class. She is the seven- teen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Par- rish. Her favorite foods are Mexican food, pizza, hamburgers, and hotdogs. She enjoys horseback rid- ing. Laurie's reply to what characteristics she looks for in a friend was, “Friends are a very im- portant part of life. They reflect their lifestyles on you and you are judged by the company you keep.” In choosing a friend she looks for common inter- ests, trustworthiness, and a sense of humor. “Just a REAL friend!” 19
