LIGON SOLOMON Treasurer SARA HINSON Secretary OFFICERS BRUCE WARD President FAYE CARR Reporter DANNY NOWELL Vice-President CLASS PROPHECY ROUTE '62 Ten years have passed since the class graduated and the winds of time have scattered the 1962 Seniors to the four corners. Let’s take a trip and see if the dreams and ambitions of each have been fulfilled. We don't have to go far to find MARK ESPY. Nestled on the banks of the Mercey Creek is his large colo- nial house, and the grazing land surrounding it is dotted with'cattle. Noticing quite a bit of construction taking place on the creek, we get out and find our old classmates, DANNY NOWELL, RONNIE KNOWLES, and BRUCE WARD. They're engineers now and have come up with the idea of harnessing the water and converting it into electricity. We leave the sunny South and take a plane to New York. The hostess for the flight is PASTY MITCHELL. Also on the plane is WAYNE BLOUNT. His home is in New York since becoming the star fullback for the New York Giants. Spending the afternoon in Yankee Stadium, we aren't too surprised to see that Yogi Berra's uniform is now worn by our own WAYNE SHELLEY. Later, as we browse through the Library of Congress, we see MA- LINDA EPPS. Malinda has done well; she's librarian. We visit the U.N. Building before leaving the city. Here we find SANDRA BRANNON teaching foreign languages to the guides. In the Secretariat Building we find sec- retaries, SARAH HINSON, NADINE SHELLEY, and BRENDA ADAMS. Traveling across the northern states, we stop for a brief visit in the Mayo Clinic. The chief-of-staff is Dr. LIGON SOLOMON and the head nurse is BRENDA SKINNER. Three nurses are coming in for night duty. They are BETTY SUTTON, SARAH McCLENNY, and JULIANA WHITE. The clinic's mortician is OYETTE ADAMS. Out on the West Coast, DIANE PELHAM is located. She is fashion illustrator for Warner Brother's Studio. Taking care of the stars' orphaned and maladjusted children is the social worker of the class, LINDA OATES. In a local newspaper, we noticed that a Peace Corps pathologist, JOANNE BRANTLEY, has discovered in the jungles of Laos, a cure for the common cold. She was assisted by lab technician, BARBARA FOREHAND. Read- ing the sports page, we see the Los Angeles Rams, coached by TERRY BEASLEY, are headed for a conference title. We sail to Hawaii on a liner, whose captain is JACK DASINGER and find NORMA WILSON, MARIANNE HICKS, and FAYE CARR. These girls are on the faculty of the University of Honolulu. News has reached the island that JAMES E. SHELLEY has entered the Grand Prix in Italy. His pit crew is headed by MORRIS FALK- NER. As we purchase our insurance for the return flight we find the agency is owned by GARY JOHNSON. Back home, CAROLYN SCOTT, a housewife, gives us a home cooked meal. Across the street at H.H.S. we find principal, ROBERT JOHNSON, conferring with Rev. ROBERT GRICE.
