Seniors become the second class to graduate from Hazen. Senior Counselor, Miss Rolstad Oh, to be a Seniorn is often the senti- ment of underclassmen. It was no different at Hazen this year. There were those who could barely wait for the Hbig year. Yet for Hazen's Senior class, these words took on a more complicated meaning. To be a Seniorf' they found, was more than enjoying the special activities of their last year- it was also planning for these activi- ties. In order to effectively plan for this year, the class elected Peggy Brickley for their leader. She and the class board, with the help of the parent steering committee, or- ganized various means for funding Senior year activities. Such activities included a tupperware sale, and the sale of class rings and keys. Plans for the Senior Ball and Senior Party were disclosed early in the year. Senior Ball was set for May eighth in the Georgian room at the Olympic Hotel. June ninth was the date scheduled for the class party. Hopes were that the party would be held on an old time sight-seer, the Vir- ginia V, while it cruised on Puget Sound. When .graduation was over, graduates had a hard time realizing that they were no longer Seniors at Hazen, but people in the outside world. Senior President, Peggy Brickley
