,, , Of culture and of a culture. Art projects made for donation and sale were two accomplishments put forth by the art club this year. Early in the year, after electing pres- ident Bill Walker, members toured an art gallery in Seattle. During the pep week members created their own works of art and sold them. Later during the year, members do- nated a special art project to the com- munity. The out-of-doors people. . .Mi 6' .Sai , .H CQLUP 'M Q ws Aiming high this year in order to reach the goal of instilling in each mem- ber a sense of safety and competition was thejunior rifle club. President Bill Rhode presided over the club activities. Activities included inter-club competitions and hunting safety classes. Mr.Bryan and Mr.Rolfe were the advisors. Monte Cristo, Chinook, Snow Lake, and Rialto Beach are just a few of the places hiking club members and their advisor, Mr.Butts, visited this year. Organized by a group of friends last year, the club gained in popularity until it became one ofthe largest at Hazen. This fall, Bill Turner was re-elected president. Kathy Swartz became secre- tary. Resulting from the experiences of this year are the memories of many hiked miles filled with much laughter and many friendships. f 3 X..-,
