exp ssion through swimming. 2,2 Swim, swim, and swim some more! A new club was created this year for girls who want to lose weight, improve their figure, or meet new friends. In the 50 mile swim club, girls spent the year trying to do just that - swim 50 miles. The only officer was the recorder, Cindy Syjud, and the advisor was Miss .J tf-r,y if t ff: as 3,592 ,QQ X K Stechmann, Commenting on the club, one member said, It is a definite goal to work toward which requires determi- nation and dedication. Synchro, to me, is a way of express- ing what I feel through swimming. Such is the opinion of Blue Dolphin president, Pauline Huff. Advised by Miss Stechmann, the Blllfb Dolphins staged two water-acrobatic p ations this year. One was held 1 all nd the other in spring. Th se presentations involved not only water skills but the making of cos- tumes and props. Highlighting the year for synchro members was the arrival of special swim- suits. These suits were blue with one gold stripe on each side. With gradual improvement, synchro members proved to be an asset to Hazen by the end ofthe year. lp N
