When secretaries were not issu- ing tardies, selling lunch tickets, or accounting for school finances, they were typing or transcribing letters for the principals or superinten- dent. Silence seldom reigned over their offices. Aided by high school office girls , the secretarial staff kept HHS running smoothly.
