rHEiwiNoeDiujuNi5'z5 if M' HAYWAEDCHICHSSCHOOIS l THE ASSOCIATED GIRLS HE ASSOCIATED GIRLS STUDENTS is the name given to the girls or- ganization which was established in the spring l925. The enrollment of our high school has been increasing so rapidly during the last few years that it became quite necessary to have some sort of an organization. The girls, assisted and instructed by four able women members of the facul- ty, took it upon themselves to form a united body. The Constitutional Commit- tee appointed, drew up a constitution which provided for the election of the gen- eral officers. The officers elected were as follows: Frances Winslow, presidentg Alice Wilkins, vice-presidentg Inez Miller, secretary, Elizabeth Meyer, treasurer and Lola Kavanaugh, athletic manager. The constitution also provided for a division of the girls into four groups. Each group is headed by one of the follow- ing girls: Angela Hotchkiss, Bernice Flores, Kathryn Rohrer and Miriam Prowse. Through the A. G. S. we hope to intermingle the upper and lower classmen in a more amiable way and on a more sociable basis. By the A. G. S. we endeavor to establish something that will be profitable, serviceable and advantageous to the school. The girls have extended their generous attention to the various clubs in the school, such as the Dramatic, Radio, and Tennis Clubs and especially to the Annual Staff in their numerous sales and drives. The association has been very successfully managed this year. Next year the executive committee expects to enlarge upon the work, now that the prob- lems of organization have been successfully solved. Y. NEC-1, '25. Page Twenty-five

Since this was the first year anything ol' the kind had been introduced, they might well be con- sidered a success and a benefit to our student body government. The Court func- tioned several times during the year and relieved the faculty from taking any action.
