14 Z =. 2 3 Joseph Boyd, a sophomore, has been recognized for his community service achievements. He is a dependable hard- worker. He is a member of the Beta Club and Key Club. He is enrolled in Honors English. His future plans are to attend college and become a Nuclear Scientist. Suzanne Robinette, a Senior, has been recognized for her outstanding accom- plishments in citizenship. She is a dedi- cated hardworker. She has shown school spirit and pride in many ways. She is the 1988-89 State Beta Secre- tary. She is the captain of the Varsity Football Cheerleaders and also cheers Varsity Boys Basketball. She has ‘placed in Forensics for the past two years. She is a member of the Beta Club, Key Club, FBLA, FCA, and Dra- ma. She is the Photography Editor of the Journalism staff. She is also one of the 88 Key Club Sweethearts. Her fu- ture plans are to attend college at LMU and major in Communications.

He is president of the Key Club and plays Varsity Boys Basketball. AVEIL eet THIGIS ea Dorsey Owens, a Senior, has been rec- ognized for his outstanding achieve- ments. Dorsey became the second Ea- gle Scout from Haysi and the ninth from Dickenson County in September of 1988. He is now taking lessons with Marx Aviation in Richlands, VA. to earn his pilot license. He is a member of the Science Club and the KVG. His fu- ture plans are to pursue a career in Aviation. Donnie is a member of the Science Club, Beta Club, Key Club, and participates in the marching and concert band. He is enrolled in Honors English and has a 3.78 GPA as of the fall of 1988. His future plans are to attend college and major in some field of Science. 15
